AboutBrooklyn-born comedian Jerry Seinfeld began his comedy career at an open mic night right after graduating from Queens College in New York, which doubled as an audition for 1976’s Catch a Rising Star.
After his open mic appearance, Seinfeld landed a spot in a Rodney Dangerfield HBO TV special performing stand-up.
On the heels of repeated late night stand-up bookings, he teamed up with writer Larry David to create the TV series Seinfeld. Four seasons later, it was the most popular sitcom in America, and currently dominates the airwaves in syndication.
After dating college student Shoshanna Lonstein for several years, Seinfeld broke it off and married public relations executive Jessica Sklar in 1999.
Seinfeld has three children.
